A Persian Poetry Night event was held at the BRICS+ Media Center in Moscow, providing participants with an opportunity to explore Iran's rich literary and musical heritage.

Iran Press/Europe:  According to BRICS Television, the evening included a short film about Iran, educational talks on Persian literature, music, and translation, as well as recitations of works by prominent Iranian poets like Saadi.

Masoud Ahmadvand, Cultural Attaché of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Russia, emphasized the role of cultural activities in enhancing bilateral relations. He stated that initiatives like Persian Poetry Night foster deeper mutual understanding and strengthen the collaboration between Iran and Russia within the BRICS framework.

Maria Gen, Head of the Persian Language Center in Moscow and a professor of Persian literature at the Moscow State Linguistic University, discussed efforts to promote Iranian culture internationally. She highlighted how cultural exchanges enable people to establish lasting relationships, even without linguistic or deep cultural knowledge.

Alexandra Burman, head of the BRICS Media Network’s South Asia and West Asia division, elaborated on the media's role in fostering ties between Iran and Russia. She described the Persian Poetry Night as part of broader initiatives aimed at cultural and diplomatic collaboration. Burman also mentioned the network’s contributions through the broadcast of Iranian documentaries, cultural news, and media content exchange between the two nations.

This cultural event highlights the importance of poetry, art, and media as bridges between countries, contributing to mutual appreciation and cooperation.
