Iran News- According to an Iran Press report on Sunday, many MPs were concerned about Karbasian's lack of leadership skills and inability to manage Iran's economy, and insufficient grasp of macroeconomic policy.
Some MPs also criticised the lack of transparency in Iran's economy and Karbasian's pursuit of incorrect fiscal policies. A number of parliamentarians also criticised Karbasian for not doing enough to make Iran's economy resistant, and they also criticised the way he applied tax laws , saying businesses and low-income families suffered as a result.
In the end, 137 Iranian MPs voted to impeach Karbasian, 121 MPs voted against impeachment, and 2 MPs decided to abstain from the vote.
A number of Iranian parliamentarians, both for and against the impeachment of economy and finance minister, Masoud Karbasian, delivered speeches in the Majlis, setting out their arguments either for or against impeachment.
Earlier, Ali Asghar Yousefnejad, a member of Iranian parliament's presiding board, announced the names of thirteen MPs who are due to make speeches . They are: Hussein Ali Haji Deligani, Seyyed Hadi Bahadori, Hedayatollah Khademi, Tayyebeh Siavoshi , Hassan Nowrouzui, Sadeef Badri, ShadMehr Kazemzadeh, Majid Kianpour , Ali Sari , Seyyed Qasem Jasemi , Abbas Babizadeh , Mehrdad Lahouti and Elyas Hazrati.
