Iran Press/Asia: According to Iran Press News Agency from Islamabad, the festival, which is organized annually by the Association of Spouses of Pakistani Foreign Ministry Officials to support the United Nations’ charity programs, was officially inaugurated today (Sunday) in a ceremony attended by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.
Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri-Moghadam, Iranian Cultural Counselor Majid Moshki, diplomats, and heads of Iranian institutions in Islamabad are also present at the Iranian cultural pavilion along with their families.
The Islamic Republic of Iran’s pavilion at this festival was widely welcomed by visitors, including Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, due to the diversity and attractiveness of the content presented, during which those interested in culture and art were introduced to Iran’s rich cultural diversity.
In the food section, various popular Iranian delicacies were displayed, including chelo-kebab and chelo-morgh, Sholezard, and halva, which created an attractive and memorable atmosphere for visitors with their aroma and flavor, and many of them visited the Iranian pavilion to experience different flavors.
Also, souvenirs from different regions of Iran, including pistachios, Noghl, Gaz, and saffron, were displayed in the Iranian cultural pavilion.
In the handicraft section, works of authentic Iranian arts such as woodcarving, khatamkari, and enameling were displayed, which attracted the attention of those interested in traditional arts. Visitors carefully watched these works and expressed surprise at the skill of Iranian artists in creating these works.
Another important part of the Iranian pavilion was the introduction of tourist attractions; in this section, information was provided about historical, cultural, and natural places in Iran. By viewing images and descriptions of different cities in Iran, visitors expressed their desire to travel to Iran and learn more about its culture and history.
In addition to Iran and Pakistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Maldives, Turkmenistan, China, Ukraine, Russia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, Palestine, and several other countries participated in the festival with their cultural products, especially in the food section.204
