Tehran(IP): The Pakistani Foreign Minister arrived in Tehran to meet with the Islamic Republic of Iran officials at the head of the political-economic delegation, and the Iranian Foreign Minister received his Pakistani counterpart.

Iran PressIran news: According to the Iran Press, Pakistani Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was welcomed at Tehran airport upon his arrival by Seyed Rasool Mousavi, Assistant Minister and Director General of South Asia at the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

At the invitation of Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, Pakistani Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is scheduled to visit Iran from June 14 to June 15.

This is the first visit of a high-ranking Pakistani official to Iran in the new government.

After his official meetings with the President, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan will pay a visit to the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (AS) the eighth Shi'a Imam in Mashhad on Wednesday.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari's visit to Iran coincides with the 75th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two neighboring and friendly countries of Iran and Pakistan.

According to Pakistan's Foreign Ministry statement on Monday, During the Foreign Minister's visit to Iran, bilateral relations, including trade and economic relations, Pakistan's supply of electricity from Iran, border markets, strengthening road and rail communications, and facilitating the travel of Pilgrims will be addressed.

"Iran and Pakistan enjoy close cooperation with the people based on their common geography, cultural ties and historical ties," the statement said.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, a young politician and the eldest son of the late Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, became the party's leader allied with the new government on April 27, 2022, and became the foreign minister and head of Pakistan's diplomatic service.
