Iran Press/Asia: During a meeting of the National Solidarity Council of Pakistan, chaired by Abu Al-Khair Muhammad Zubair, concerns were raised about the regional instability, which poses significant threats to the future of the area.
The council emphasized that internal power shifts in independent nations are their affairs, but changes influenced by colonial powers are unacceptable in Muslim countries.
The ongoing violence in Gaza, the war in Lebanon, and the turmoil in Syria were highlighted, with participants noting that Israel's escalating aggression and illegal occupation threaten Palestine and its people.
They warned that Israel's actions endanger both Iran and Pakistan, urging solidarity with Palestine. The council asserted that the U.S. agenda is to impose Israel's presence in the region and called for Syria to continue its support for Palestine's liberation.
The meeting urged the Pakistani government to establish permanent relations with Iran and Afghanistan, and called for an immediate summit of Turkey, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Afghanistan—key regional players—to address these pressing issues.
In light of global changes and rising threats, the council advised Pakistan's leaders to recognize the gravity of the situation.
Regarding last month's terrorist attack on Shia travelers in Kurram Parachinar, the council welcomed both a temporary and long-term ceasefire, urging Sunni and Shia leaders to work towards lasting peace.
A meeting with Kurram elders is scheduled for December 17, 2024, to discuss permanent peace.
The council demanded that federal and provincial governments fulfill their responsibilities, resolve land disputes in Kurram district legally, and ensure security agencies enforce the law impartially.
They called for an end to cross-border interference, the dismantling of banned organizations, and the safe reopening of transportation routes in the Kurram district, as well as immediate medical assistance for patients.
Attendees included Allama Arif Hussain Wahidi, Mufti Gulzar Naeemi, Qari Yaqub Sheikh, Nasir Abbas Shirazi, Syed Asad Abbas Naqvi, Nazir Ahmed Janjua, Maulana Zahid Al-Qasimi, Dr. Zameer, Hafiz Abdul Ghaffar Rupri, Qazi Zafarul Haq, Waheed Shah, Syed Latif Ur Rehman Shah, Asrar Ahmed Naeemi, and Chaudhry Farhan Shaukat Hanjra.
