Islamabad (IP)- The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif, stated that the country's defense system is designed for protection, not aggression, and emphasized that Pakistan will continue to take strong measures to safeguard its security without compromising its nuclear program.

Iran Press/Asia: During a federal cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sharif, defense officials provided a briefing on the U.S. response to Pakistan's missile program. In his address, Shahbaz Sharif highlighted that Pakistan's nuclear program serves the needs of its 240 million citizens and is fundamentally defensive.

"We will not allow nefarious conspiracies against Pakistan to succeed. There is no justification for banning the National Defense Complex and other institutions," the Prime Minister asserted.

Sharif reiterated his commitment to combating terrorism, stating that Pakistan is united in its fight against this threat and will not rest until terrorism is completely eradicated. "The military chief is on the front lines himself to boost the morale of the soldiers. Economic development is not possible without eliminating terrorism," he added.
