Tehran (IP) - Interior Minister of Iran says it is expected that more than 4.5 million Arba'een pilgrims from Iran will take part in Arbaeen March.

Iran PressIran News: The first international congress of "Health in Arba'een" was held in Tehran, with the presence of Iran's government and health officials on August 27, 2022.

Ahmad Vahidi, the minister of interior, noted in the conference that it is expected that more than 4.5 million Arba'een pilgrims from Iran will take part in Arbaeen March, whose journey must be completed safely.

Vahidi emphasized that at a time when some are trying to dominate the world by cheating, Arbaeen has created an opportunity for people to step towards salvation.

He added that as the biggest cultural, religious and political event, all measures had been taken to hold Arba'een in healthy conditions.

Vahidi noted: Fortunately, a good synergy has been formed between Iranian and Iraqi officials to hold the significant rituals.

Also, the Head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS), Pir-Hossein Kolivand, said: "We have planned to help pilgrims if they face any health issues."

He underlined that Iran and Iraq's Red Crescent Societies and Iraq's Al-Hashd Al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Units (PMU)) would help and support Arba'een pilgrims.

Still, Abdul Fattah Navab, the representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, said in the congress that Arba'een March has no age or health restrictions and people of all ages and physical conditions can participate in the event.
