Tehran (IP) - The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy Mehdi Safari announced the beginning of the export of Iranian apples to Pakistan and said that its financial exchange is done through barter with Pakistani agricultural products.

Iran PressIran news: A meeting of the headquarters of the coordination of foreign economic relations on the topic of "Joint Economic Commission of Oman and Pakistan" was held on Sunday under the chairmanship of Mehdi Safari, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy, and with the presence of members of the headquarters composed of managers of relevant institutions.

In this meeting, Mehdi Safari, while expressing his satisfaction with the results of many approvals of the Joint Commission of Oman, emphasized on the continuous holding of joint economic commissions and considered it as a factor in the growth and development of foreign trade and added: "The President places special emphasis on holding Economic commissions and pursuing the achievements of foreign trips. Also, the seriousness in holding economic commissions and following up on their approvals has led to a 22% growth in non-oil exports in the last quarter, and this trend is still increasing."

The diplomat listed the establishment of a direct flight from Oman to Ramsar, the establishment of a passenger and container shipping line to Oman and solving energy issues as important achievements of the joint commission with Oman and announced the presence of the Omani delegation in Iran next week.

During the meeting, there was a discussion and exchange of views regarding the holding of a joint economic commission with Pakistan and the important topics were discussed in this commission. The issue of pipeline and trade in border points are among the important issues raised in the meeting.

In this meeting, issues regarding the importance of exporting engineering services, border, customs and agricultural issues in the joint economic commission with Iraq were also raised and discussed.
