Iran Press/Asia: The number of people killed in the series of bomb attacks in Sri Lankan capital has risen to 290, and more than 500 people injured according to a police statement.
The series of blasts in Sri Lanka occurred on Easter Sunday. At least seven suicide bombers have been involved in Sri Lanka terrorist attacks.
The first six took place at three churches in capital city Colombo as well as in Negombo and Batticaloa towns and at three hotels, while the next two explosions occurred in Dehiwala and Dematagoda—two suburbs of Colombo.
Also, an improvised explosive device was discovered in close proximity to the Bandaranaike International Airport, Reuters reported.
