Tehran (IP) - The Spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health Sima Sadat Lari said that as of Wednesday, 393,425 people in the country have been infected with the coronavirus, and 339,111 of the total infected people have recovered and discharged so far.

Iran Press/Iran News: Lari on Wednesday reported the latest data on the coronavirus in the country and the deaths caused by the virus, saying that from yesterday to September 9, 2020, 2,313 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed, out of whom 1,229 of patients were hospitalized.

The spokeswoman said in the past 24 hours, 127 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, bringing the total deaths to 22,669. 

3,735 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition.

"So far, around 3,475,743 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country," the health ministry spokeswoman noted.

According to the spokeswoman, the provinces of Tehran, Mazandaran, Gilan, Qom, Isfahan, Khorasan Razavi, East Azerbaijan, Kerman, North Khorasan, Semnan, Yazd, Zanjan, and Qazvin are regarded as red zones.

Also, the provinces of West Azerbaijan, Alborz, Fars, Lorestan, Hormozgan, Ardabil, Bushehr, Kermanshah, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, South Khorasan, Markazi, Ilam, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Golestan, and Khuzestan are on alert.
