Middle East/ According to an Iran Press report, A'shoura mourning ceremonies were held in south Beirut on Thursday, and Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, the secretary general of Hezbollah movement, made a keynote speech.
Commenting on Iran Nasrallah said: "We will stand by Iran's side. A few weeks from now, the second round of America's sanctions against Iran will come into force. We all know that the Americans are trying to stop the sale of Iranian oil. They are trying to discourage all countries from buying Iranian oil, and it is perfectly clear why Iran is being sanctioned by Washington.
He added: "Islamic Iran is committed to its religion, republic, independence, freedom and sovereignty. The Iranian leadership, the Iranian government, and the Iranian people will never accept being subservient to America, or being America's puppet. They will never give up their right to make independent choices and independent decisions. Because Iran is staunchly standing besides regional countries, and defending their rights, it is being targeted (by the arrogant powers).
In further comments Nasrallah said: "Iran is standing besides Palestine and confronting the Israeli regime, Iran is standing besides Lebanon, until all Lebanese soil is liberated. Iran was the first country to answer the call of assistance from Iraq, when Daesh Takfiri terrorists attacked that country. And now, it is incumbent upon us to stand firmly besides Iran".
