Iran Press/Iran news: The Member of National Security and Foreign Policy Committee in Iranian parliament Kamal Dehghani Firouzabadi said that the main cause of confrontation between Iran and the US is that contrary to the Trump's administration's unilateralism, Iran is independent.
"Of course the Islamic Republic of Iran seeks its interests and national security in Int'l affairs, but it will definitely stand against unilateralism in the global arena," Firouzabadi said in an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Tuesday afternoon in the Iranian parliament building.
The Iranian MP went on to say: "like Iran, many big powers including Russia, China, India, and Brazil globally stand against unilateralism and follow their own interests."
"What is of most importance is respecting Int'l rights, agreements and even the decisions that the US as the permanent member of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) has made within the framework of this organization," he stressed.
Dehghani Firouzabadi concluded: "The US withdrawal from JCPOA occurred after the United States signed that agreement and necessitated other countries to stand with it, however, they act against their own decision and this proves the US' unilateralism and it might endangers its own prestige ."

According to Firouzabadi, the worst thing is that the US encroaches and breaches Int'l rules and regulations, while the Islamic Republic of Iran always proves its loyalty to these rules.
