Tehran (IP) - The Minister of Economy announced that the most operational stage of Iran-China interactions has begun during the visit of the first vice president of Iran to Shanghai.

Iran PressIran news: Ehsan Khandouzi, Iranian Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, presented a report on the visit of the Iranian delegation to China led by the First Vice President, Mohammad Mokhber.

He added that during the two-day trip, several officials, including himself, accompanied the first vice president. The main objective was to follow up on projects that were scheduled for implementation after the president visited Beijing.

Second step of Iran-China 25-Year Cooperation Program started

Khandouzi further explained that the first step towards this collaboration was taken in July this year with the holding of the inaugural joint commission between both countries.

"The second step was recently taken during VP Mokhber's trip to China over these two days. Khandouzi expressed hope for increased investments in Iran in the coming months, both in the public and private sectors, as projects in agriculture and industry are finalized.

The Minister of Economy emphasized that previously Iran used to export energy to China while importing technology and industrial products. However, with these new agreements, a balance will be established, allowing Iran to export its domestically produced goods with joint investments from China to other countries.
