Russia's foreign minister has said that his country does not follow the US' demand for cutting off cooperation with Iran.

Iran PressEurope: Sergei Lavrov said on Thursday that Moscow and Tehran want to expand trade cooperation despite the US sanctions.

Lavrov noted that the US efforts to reinstate Security Council (UNSC) sanctions against Iran have no prospects. 

"Moscow and Tehran also vehemently rejects the US efforts to impose an indefinite arms embargo on Iran," added the top Russian diplomat, stressing that Moscow seeks to strengthen trade and investment ties with Iran.
