Tehran (IP) - Within the month ending on July 22, 2023, Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) witnessed a trade of 11,117,938 tonnes of commodities and 170 vehicles with a total trading value of almost 3 billion USD on its physical market.

Iran PressIran news: According to the IME's International Affairs and PR report, the exchange saw 8,893,677 tonnes of commodities valued at nearly 2 billion USD on its metals and minerals trading floor.

Items traded on this floor included 4,603,093 tonnes of cement, 1,979,000 tonnes of iron ore, 1,366,709 tonnes of steel, 906,200 tonnes of sponge iron, 62,625 tonnes of aluminum, 52,641 tonnes of copper, 42,550 tonnes of zinc, 2,000 tonnes of coke, 820 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 550 tonnes of cast iron, 75 tonnes of precious metals concentrate and 170 vehicles.

Based on this report, the exchange saw 1,200 kg of saffron trade on its agricultural trading floor.

Moreover, the exchange saw the trade of 1,995,334 tonnes of commodities worth more than 892 million USD on domestic and export pits of its oil and petrochemical trading floor. The IME's customers purchased on this floor 589,591 tonnes of bitumen, 567,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 422,963 tonnes of polymeric products, 187,000 tonnes of lube cut, 164,147 tonnes of chemicals, 33,215 tonnes of sulfur, 17,006 tonnes of oil, 16,068 tonnes of petroleum products, 1,345 tonnes of insulation and 790 tonnes of feedstocks. Last was the IME's side market, on which the exchange traded 228,925 tonnes of commodities.
