Mashhad (IP) - The caravans of pilgrims arrived in Mashhad on foot to attend the mourning rituals of the last days of the month of Safar and the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Reza (AS).

Iran PressIran News:  According to Iran Press, the people of Mashhad and the followers of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) set up guesthouses on the way of caravans of pilgrims and are serving pilgrims to the Holy Shrine of the 8th Shia Imam.

In addition to Iranian pilgrims, foreign pilgrims from Arab countries, Afghanistan, and Pakistan also arrive in Mashhad these days to attend the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) and participate in the mourning rituals of the last week of Safar.

The parking lot of Imam Reza's Holy Shrine (AS) has been carpeted so that it can be used by Iranian and foreign pilgrims for rest and accommodation when they are in Mashhad.
