Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi has said his country's territory cannot be used to launch attacks on any of its neighbours.

Iran Press/ Middle East: Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi told reporters on Wednesday night that Baghdad is actively working to prevent war in the region.

Emphasising that Iraqi territory has not been used in the attack on Aramco oil facilities in Saudi Arabia, Adil Abdul-Mahdi also said that no country will be safe if war breaks out in the region.

Yemeni drone targeted Aramco oil facility in the East of the Saudi Arabia on last Saturday.

Although the Yemeni army immediately declared its responsibility for the retaliatory attack on Aramco oil processing facilities on Saturday, and said the drone strikes were in response to earlier Saudi airstrikes and on-going Saudi war crimes in Yemen, the US immediately pointed an accusing finger at Iran, and claimed Tehran had a role in the attack.

Iran has consistently denied any involvement in the Aramco attacks and on Wednesday, sent a cable to Washington formally denying any role in the attack on Saturday 14 September.

On the other hand, some Israeli media have claimed that the attack was launched from southern Iraq.

The accusation has been rejected by the Iraqi government.
