Iran Press/ Iran News: At the beginning of his speech, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeid Khatibzadeh congratulated '10-Day Dawn,' the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, and referred to the regional trip of Mohammad Javad Zarif.
He said: "January 25 marked the beginning of the regional visit of the Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who traveled to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Moscow, Armenia, Georgia, Turkey, and Nakhchivan. This is one of the most important and successful trips of his time."
Khatibzadeh added: "He met with the President of Azerbaijan as well as other officials of this country. During his visit to Moscow, he met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, and the Iran-Russia agreement on cooperation in information security was signed on the same day."
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman stated: "During FM Zarif’s visit to Armenia, he met with the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of this country. In Georgia, FM Zarif met with the Georgian president. He also had a telephone conversation with the Georgian foreign minister. In Turkey, in addition to meeting with President Erdogan, he also met with his Turkish counterpart. At the end of his trip, he also met with Nakhchivan officials to discuss Iran's transit routes."
Khatibzadeh said: "Various issues such as regional cooperation, how to establish lasting peace and stability in the region, bilateral trade cooperation, economic issues, memoranda of understanding, and joint commissions were discussed during the visit."
"The Taliban political delegation also traveled to Iran last week," Khatibzadeh added.
