Iran Press/ Iran news: The director-general of Tehran’s Crisis Management Organisation, Mansour Darajati says one of the liquid gas pipelines of the refinery has caught fire.
Video footage showing smoke billowing from the Shahid Tondguyan oil refinery in the southern Tehran area.
Mojtaba Khaledi, Iran’s emergency spokesman said: "A few minutes ago, a fire broke out at Tehran refinery."
He noted that as a result of the fire in this refinery and its tanks, ten ambulances and an ambulance bus were sent to the scene.
According to Khaledi, Haft-e Tir Hospital, Firooz Abadi Hospital, and Mottahari hospital are on full alert. 50 beds are provided by medical centers for possible injured.
No casualties have been reported so far and the Ministry of Health and Crisis Management are on full alert, he added.
