Iran Press/ Europe: Mohammad-Reza Sabouri, the Iranian ambassador added that the decision of Hamas and resistance to start the operation was completely independent and emanated from the will of a Palestinian nation.
The Palestinian resistance fighters started the all-round Flood operation from the Gaza Strip against the military basis of the Zionist regime in the occupied territories on October 7, 2023.
The disastrous defeat of the Zionists, and the loss of some military headquarters, have made the Israeli officials target Palestinian civilians and innocent people of Gaza many times in recent days and commit war crimes by besieging the area.

Mohammad-Reza Sabouri, Iran's Ambassador to Italy, added that it is the natural right of the oppressed Palestinian nation to defend its life, land, and sanctities against occupation, aggression, daily violations, and organized terrorism of the Zionist regime.
Elsewhere, Sabouri added that based on all internationally recognized standards and fundamental principles of international law, the Palestinian action is a natural and legitimate defense.
He stated: "The people who have been deprived of the most basic means of life and welfare for many years and observe the worldwide silence or support of the West for the crimes of the Zionist regime, have no choice but to defend."
