Iran Press/Iran news: The first international exhibition of sports, health and related industries was held on Monday in the Southern Island of Kish.
Some 70 companies from Iran, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, South Korea, and Malaysia have participated in the event to showcase their latest sports products for the visitors, reported Iran Press.
Exporting to the Arab and European countries, attracting investments and investing in sports, cooperating with domestic and foreign manufacturers introducing brands to athletes and the opportunity of the World Cup Qatar 2020 were among the goals of the event.
Furthermore, on the sidelines of this exhibition, a marathon and Taekwondo Champions League of Asia will be held with competitors from 22 countries.
Earlier on December 31, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani called for the implementation of developmental and tourism projects in Kish Island.
The Iranian President made the remarks in a meeting with managing director of Kish Free Zone Gholamhossein Mozaffari.
The new terminal of Kish International Airport, dredging jetty, refurbishing sports spaces are among the projects under implementation, Mozaffari said.
Kish is an island in the Persian Gulf, off the southern coast of Iran. 203/211/103
