57 years ago, despotic Pahlavi regime agents arrested Late Imam Khomeini (RH) on June 6, 1963, in a tragic incident, following his revealing speech at the Faizieh School "Islamic seminary" in Qom -south of Tehran province, attacking the Imam's home in the holy city of Qom.
On the day of Ashura, late Imam Khomeini unveiled the crimes of the Pahlavi regime and the Shah's relations with the Israeli regime in a scathing speech at the Faizieh School in Qom.
In response to the arrest of Imam Khomeini, people in various Iranian cities staged large-scale anti-Pahlavi regime demonstrations.
During these protests, the repressive forces of the regime's security apparatus brutally attacked, including the Faizieh School in Qom, killing, injuring and arresting large numbers of people.
This historic uprising was the beginning of the Islamic Movement's confrontation with the authoritarian regime of the Pahlavi and provided the right conditions for the formation of the intellectual, political, and social foundations of the Islamic Revolution.
Imam Khomeini, the great founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, entered the critical phase of the anti-government, anti-authoritarian political movement of the Shah's regime on June 4, 1963, and during more than a decade, endured many hardships, including exile.
Imam Khomeini's movement began in 1963, and in 1979, the Islamic Revolution of Iran won, and certainly, the June 6 uprising played an undeniable and pivotal role in the Islamic movement's victory.
