The complex was named after the famous mystic Safi-ad-din Ardabili was built in 735 AH by his son Sadr-ad-din Mousa.
This world complex is a collection of tombs of famous people as well as ritual and worship places in Ardabil.
It includes the tomb of Safi-ad-din (Allah Allah Dome), the Porcelain House, the Dar al-Hifaz Hall, the Dar al-Hadith, the garden courtyard, the Shahidgah (martyrdom site), and several museums.
Safi-ad-din Ardabili World Religious Complex has been registered as the 11th historical-cultural monument of Iran in August 2010 in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The complex is a symbol of Iranian cultural and architectural values and is one of the important cultural and historical tourism capacities in Ardabil Province.
