Rome (IP) - Hundreds of people in Rome, the capital of Italy, took part in an anti-Zionist rally and demanded an immediate stop to the brutal attacks of the Zionist regime on the Gaza Strip.

Iran PressEurope: Gathering in front of the University of Rome late on Friday, the demonstrators called the Israeli regime a war criminal and supported the resistance of the Palestinian people.

The demonstrators also criticized Europe's support for the Zionist regime and the biased coverage of the Western media in favor of the Zionist regime.

One of the demonstrators told the Iran Press reporter in Rome: "The European governments should end their support for Israel and stop the war in Gaza, adding that "By boycotting Israeli goods, attending schools and universities to inform realities, and publishing articles we should also prevent the fake news of the Israelis in the Western media."

Italian students in the gathering condemned the silence of Western human rights claimants.

An Italian activist told Iran Press reporter: "This is the fifth anti-Israel demonstration that we hold in Rome and other Italian cities. The demonstration is about to put pressure on Israel to stop the war in Gaza.

Emphasizing that "the Israelis cannot continue to kill the people of Gaza with the support of the U.S. and Europe", he added: "All Western countries must recognize the rights of the Palestinian nation, which has been violated under the occupation by Israel for 75 years. We will continue our demonstrations to achieve the goal."

Despite the all-out support of the Italian government to the Zionist regime and the censorship of the news of Gaza in the Italian media, many people in the country expressed their concern about the continued bombing of Gaza and condemned the support of Italian politicians for these crimes.

The rally was held on a rainy day and under police supervision.
