Irland (IP) - The figures say the Irish people's turnout in general elections of the country has decreased to its minimum in the recent century, 59.7 percent.

Iran Press/Europe: This week, in the general elections of the Republic of Ireland, none of the major parties could win a majority of seats in the parliament, and each of the three parties won a share of the seats.

After the votes were counted, the Fianna Fáil Party gained 48 seats, the Sinn Féin Party won 39 seats, and the Fine Gael Party possessed 38 seats, which were considered the highest number of seats won.

Yet, because none of the parties could win 88 seats, the quorum of the seats, to form the cabinet, Sinn Féin and Fine Gael would make a coalition.

In the elections held on Saturday, the leaders of all three major Irish parties were elected and entered the country's parliament. Almost all 174 seats of the Republic of Ireland were won by three major parties.
