Iran Press/ Iran news: Iraqi Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Naeem Al-Aboudi paid an official visit to Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology (IROST) on Mar.5, 2023.
On the sidelines of the visit, in response to Iran Press about the purpose of his trip to Iran, Naeem Al-Aboudi said: Iran and Iraq are going to ink several memoranda of understanding and extend the educational and scientific cooperation.
Al-Aboudi further said: Iran and Iraq are also supposed to exchange professors, students, and scientific experiences.
While referring to the opening of the Tehran University branch in Iraq, the Iraqi Minister added: Iran-Iraq relations are at a very high level and we want to expand these relations in science and research, because currently, more than 70,000 Iraqi students are studying in Iran.
During the visit, Iraq's Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research was accompanied by Prof. Hassan Zamanian president of IROST, and Deputy Minister of Science, Research and Technology.
The Iraqi official visited several ongoing projects such as the lab-on-a-disc production Center; lab-on-a-disc is a device that integrates one or several laboratory functions on a single integrated circuit of only millimeters to a few square centimeters to achieve automation and high-throughput screening, and a portable dialysis device.
