Iran Press/Iran news: Iran’s Military said that the popular aid were collected by the Iraqi parties and civil groups and sent to Iran by the Popular Mobilization Forces.
Despite the fact the Iraqi people themselves are grappling with floods, they have rushed to the aid of neighbouring Iran, Iran Press reported.
Vehicles arrived via Shalamcheh and Mehran borders and contained foodstuff, clothes and primary needs for the flood victims.
Iraqi activists have underlined that aid packages will continue to arrive in Iran.
Exceptionally heavy rains since March 19 have flooded some 1,900 cities, towns, and villages, killing 70 people and causing hundreds of millions of dollars' worth of damage to Iranian agriculture, leaving aid agencies struggling to cope.
States of emergency have been declared in several provinces and tens of thousands of people have been evacuated from their homes.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has ordered the Armed Forces to join the national rescue and relief operations.
Many people, as part of the voluntary groups as well as non-governmental organizations, have been participating in the efforts to ensure speedy recovery in areas that incurred the most flood damage. 101/211/202
