Iran Press/Iran news: Praising Iraq's al-Nujaba as a notable and valuable movement, a senior adviser to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran and former foreign minister Ali Akbar Velayati said that it is honorable that such a faithfull movement has been able to maintain Iraq's independence and dignity after many years.
"As long as Iran and Iraq are sided by side and there is a resistance front, no power will be able to stand up to them," said Velayati in a meeting with Al-Nujaba’s spokesman Nasr ash-Shimmari on Monday in Tehran, Iran Press reported.
Referring to the positive conducts of the Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi, Velayati added that the Iraqi Prime Minister has stood firmly against the foreign government's demands including the United States, and today Iraq is proud of the Arab and the Islamic world which enjoys unique capacities.
The adviser to the leader of the Islamic Revolution in international affairs also said that the movement, with the help of all Iraqi groups, was able to cut off the hands of Americans and foreigners from the country to prevent them to interfere in its internal affairs according to Iraqi people's will.
"The countries of the Muslim world have regained their place today after years of being overwhelmed by global arrogance which allowing themselves to gain all their wealth," Velayati added.
Speaking among the reporters after the meeting with Velayati, Al-Nujaba’s spokesman said that no power is able to disrupt the brotherhood bond and the strong relationship between Iran and Iraq adding: "The Iraqi state can never be a base for the arrogant forces which seek to target the Islamic Republic of Iran through Iraq because we stand and fight with all our might to confront such a heinous project." 104/208
