Tehran (IP) - Having said their Friday day prayers, the worshippers from all over Islamic Iran condemned the desecration of the Holy Qur'an in Sweden by staging a protest.

Iran PressIran news: An extremist named Selvan Momika, who insulted the Holy Quran in Stockholm on June 28, insulted the Holy Quran yesterday (Thursday) for the second time after obtaining permission from the Swedish police.

According to the Iran Press news agency, the protestors chanted slogans and declared their disdain for the desecration of the Holy Qur'an.

The protestors also demanded that Iran's diplomatic system, in cooperation with other Islamic countries, reconsider its diplomatic relations with Sweden.

In the same context, on Thursday evening, the Swedish ambassador to Tehran was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran in response to the renewed desecration of the Holy Qur'an in this country, and the extent of protest of the Islamic Republic was communicated to him.

In a letter to the Secretary General of the United Nations, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, while condemning the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden, called on him to take the necessary measures in order not to repeat it and prevent the dangerous consequences of the expansion and continuation of this insulting and provocative phenomenon.
