Tehran(IP)- The Farabi Cinema Foundation is set to evaluate the performances of 30 young directors in its eighth Youth Filmmaking Olympiad.

Iran PressIran news: During a press conference held today (Tuesday) at the Farabi Cinema Foundation, Vahid Motalleji provided insights into the upcoming Olympiad and addressed questions from reporters.

In response to a question from Iran Press regarding support for filmmaking in Iran, Motalleji highlighted that the winners of the Youth Filmmaking Olympiad will pursue their artistic endeavors through the Young Cinema Society in their respective cities.

He expressed hope that an Iranian Young Filmmakers Association would be established in the near future for the interested youth.

Motalleji also announced the collaboration of national media, particularly the Youth Network, in organizing the Olympiad more effectively. Additionally, he noted that the Ministry of Education and the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults will also provide necessary support for the event.

All 30 young filmmakers participating in the Olympiad will receive equal encouragement, although their productions will undergo critical evaluation. The poster for the Olympiad was also unveiled during the conference.

The eighth Youth Filmmaking Olympiad is scheduled to take place in Isfahan during the third decade of September.
