Italy (IP) - The 2023 Italian International Student Formula Car Race was held with the successful participation of the Iranian student team in Autodromo Riccardo Paletti Track, northern Italy.

Iran PressEurope: The competition hosted 65 teams from 19 countries participating in four classes of internal combustion engine vehicle (ICEV), electric, self-driving, and concept.

Italian students with 23 teams, European students with 39 teams, two from Asia and one from Africa, took part in the car racing contest.

Ferdowsi University team of Iran from Asia took part in the race with Roham car and managed to pass all of the entrance tests of the contest, both in dynamic and static items, with the least possible time. 

The internal combustion category included 22 teams (20 European teams and two from Asia), where Iran, as an Asian team, stood in 13th place. As another Asian team, Roham with 9 students of mechanics and 3 students of industries engineering. 

Pointing to Iran's rank among the European teams in the endurance category, the head coach of the Roham team Mohammad-Hossein Abrishami, said that the team managed to win fifth place among 17 teams in the contest and stood higher than such countries as Spain, France, Italy, Poland, and Greece. 

Despite the late release of Ferdowsi University's Formula Car from Italy's Customs after 10 days and missing the first day of the competition, Iran's team could successfully pass all of the tests to enter the contest. 

The Iranian Ferdowsi University's students participated in the international contest 5 years ago.
