Tehran (IP) – Iranian shooter booked his place at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.

Iran PressIran News: Mohammadreza Mirshafiei finished fourth in the P4 - Mixed 50m Pistol SH1 at the Al Ain 2022 World Championships on Monday and secured his berth in the 2024 Paralympics.

North Macedonian Olivera Nakovska-Bikova, Oleksii Denysiuk from Ukraine, and Turkey's Cevat Karagol won gold, silver, and bronze medal, respectively.

Earlier, Nasrin Shahi from Iran had booked her place at the Paris Paralympics by winning a silver medal at the P2 - women's 10m air pistol SH1.

The Al Ain 2022 is the eighth edition of the Shooting Para Sport World Championships, the third in Asia (after Seoul 2002 and Cheongju 2018, both in South Korea), and the first in the Middle East.

Al Ain World Championships 2022, in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), host the most extensive shooting Para sport event of the year and is underway from 6 to 17 November.  

The event also marks the first significant event on the road to the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
