In a statement released by the Public Relations Department of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), it was confirmed that Senior Military Advisor General Kiomars Pourhashemi (also known as Haj Hashem), a veteran defender of holy sites, was martyred during a terrorist attack near Aleppo, Syria, by Takfiri Zionist forces.

Iran Press/Iran news: General Pourhashemi, who had previously served in various military roles, including during the Iran-Iraq war and as a military advisor in Syria and Iraq, was one of the most prominent figures in Syria’s defense of the holy sites.

His martyrdom occurred as part of recent escalations by Takfiri terrorist groups, who have resumed attacks on Syria following setbacks for the Zionist regime in Gaza and Lebanon.

The IRGC conveyed condolences to the family of the martyr and the people of Iran, particularly those from Kermanshah, the martyr’s hometown. Further details regarding the reception, funeral, and burial of General Pourhashemi will be provided later.
