Iranian researchers develop biomass downdraft gasifier system

Tehran (IP) - Biomass downdraft gasifier system, as one of the most profitable methods of energy production from renewable energy sources, designed and developed by Iranian professors.

Iran PressIran News: The project was carried out by the professors of the Mechanical Engineering Department of Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology (IROST), with the aim of acquiring the technical knowledge of producing biomass gasification system as one of the most efficient methods of energy production from renewable energy sources.

In this process, biomass is converted to a gas called Syngas, which has a high heating value and can be used in heat-generating systems or generators to replace fossil fuels.

The device has a capacity of 10 kW, with a tank volume of 5 kg, a blower power of 55 watts and a maximum volume of gas produced of 120 cubic meters per hour.
