The Iranian assistant professor of medical engineering at the University of Houston in the United States has proposed a new way to reduce the side effects of a type of brain cancer treatment.

Iran Press/America: Shirin Majd describes a new method of targeted Nanotherapy that only treats tumor cells, has fewer side effects, and is more effective.

The laboratory results of this method are positive, and further research is underway.

Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is the most common and invasive type of brain tumor that lasts only five years.

This type of cancer treatment is very challenging because the available treatments depend on chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgery, and their combination.
