The head of the Red Crescent Society of South Khorasan province of Iran announced the dispatch of the province's aid workers to the earthquake-stricken areas of Afghanistan.

Iran PressAsia: Regarding altruism, brotherhood, and neighborliness, Mohammad Ali Kavousi said that the province's rapid response team was sent to Afghanistan. The team included 15 people, who were highly equipped. 

Expressing regret for the terrible earthquake in Afghanistan, Kavousi added that the situation in Afghanistan was evaluated since the start of the tragic natural disaster, and aid workers were sent to the rural areas. 

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 on the scale of internal earth waves (Richter) shook large areas of Afghanistan on Saturday morning.

The center of the earthquake was near the city of Herat, northwest of Afghanistan, and the depth of this earthquake was 10 km.

In a report, the United Nations announced the death toll of the earthquake as more than 320 people.

The earthquake was so intense that it was felt in parts of Iran, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
