Tehran (IP) - According to the votes counted for the 14th Iranian Presidential Election by the Ministry of Interior until 06:45 local Time, Masoud Pezeshkian is at the top of the polls with 5,000,354 votes.

Iran PressIran news: Mohsen Eslami, spokesperson for Iran's election headquarters, announced the latest results on Saturday.

The latest results show that presidential candidate Masoud Pezeshkian is now ahead of three other candidates, with 5,000,354 votes on Saturday Morning.

Counted votes so far: 12,058,843

Massoud Pezeshkian: 5,000,354 votes

Saeed Jalili: 4,875,269 votes

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf: 1,620,628 votes

Mostafa Pourmohammadi: 95,172 votes

The polls closed at midnight local time on Saturday (20:30 GMT on Friday), ending a 16-hour-long voting process.

The snap Iran's Presidential Election was called after President Ebrahim Raisi was martyred along with seven others including late Foreign Minister Hossein Amir- Abdollahian on May 19, when the helicopter carrying them crashed in northwestern Iran.

More than 61 million Iranians have been eligible to vote in the election.
