Hague (IP)- The Iranian deputy foreign minister for legal and international affairs met with the president of the International Criminal Court in the Hague, the Netherlands on Friday.

Iran Press/Europe: Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, Mohsen Baharvand in a meeting with the President of the International Criminal Court (ICC) Peter Hoffmansky expressed hope that the US' illegal sanctions against nations and international institutions would be lifted shortly.

Referring to the remarks made by Hoffmansky regarding the change in the United States' approach to the ICC, Baharvand expressed hope that shortly we would see the lifting of US' illegal sanctions against nations and international institutions.

Baharvand also met with Christoph Bernaskeni, Secretary-General of The Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCH), and stressed the importance of the documents prepared within the framework of the organization to facilitate exchanges and relations between individuals and companies, as well as for the economic development of countries.

Referring to the latest developments in the process of accession of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Convention on the Abolition of the Necessary Approval of Foreign Documents (Apostille), Baharvand announced: "The Islamic Republic of Iran will deposit its instrument of accession to the Convention shortly after the finalization of the Executive Instruction of the Convention."
