Iran Press/ Asia: Iran's Ebrahim Raisi arrived in Tashkent on Thursday morning to participate in the 16th Economic Cooperation Organization Summit.
The president described the relations between Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan as beyond political and neighborly relations and based on the deep and unbreakable bond between the two nations.
In this meeting, the president welcomed the expanding relations between the two countries and emphasized the Islamic Republic of Iran's support for the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan, including Nagorno-Karabakh, and announced his readiness to provide technical engineering services and participate in the reconstruction of this region.
The President of Azerbaijan stated that the exchange of diplomatic delegations between Iran and Azerbaijan indicates the exponential growth of relations and strengthens Tehran-Baku interactions and relations.
Ilham Aliyev also said that the efforts of some foreign countries to disrupt the relations between the two countries have not yielded any results after this. It will not have.
In this meeting, the presidents of Iran and Azerbaijan emphasized on strengthening transit and energy cooperation and increasing interactions in these sectors.
Prior to the meeting with Azerbaijan's Aliyev, the Iranian president met his Uzbek counterpart Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Thursday morning.
The ECO 16th summit is held in Tashkent on November 8-9 with the participation of delegations from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, and Türkiye.
