Amiens is a city in northern France, 120 km north of Paris.
An Iranian scientific and academic delegation is currently visiting France , taking part in a two-day event, which is meant to promote scientific and academic cooperation between Iranian and French universities.
The chancellor of Ferdowsi university in Mashhad, Dr. Mohammad Kaafi, who is a member of the visiting Iranian delegation to Paris, and the chancellor of Université de Picardie Jules Verne in Amiens, signed a scientific cooperation agreement on Wednesday. The agreement means that lecturers and professors at Ferdowsi university in Iran can exchange ideas with their counterparts at Université de Picardie Jules Verne in France, and both universities can exchange Ph.D. students as well.
Scientific, technological, literary and artistic cooperation between the two universities has been underway for about a year now, and both institutions have contributed to two "joint workshops" which have been successfully held.
Commenting on expansion of scientific cooperation between Iranian and French universities, the chancellor of Ferdowsi university in Mashhad, Dr. Mohammad Kaafi, said: "From our point of view, we are ready to cooperate with French researchers in many disciplines, including engineering sciences, economics , history, geography, Persian language and literature , etc.
