Doha (IP)- Iran's ambassador met with a Qatari official to express gratitude for Qatar's assistance in releasing Iran's frozen funds.

Iran Press/ West Asia: Upon the end of his mission in Doha, Iranian Ambassador, Hamidreza Dehghani met with Qatari Prime Minister  Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani. 

"In the meeting with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar, I appreciated his role in the success of my mission, Qatar's outstanding role in the prisoner exchange agreement and the release of assets and the start of exploitation of Iran's deposits in Qatari banks," wrote Iranian Ambassador on X. 

Ali Saleh-Abadi, the former governor of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI), has been appointed as Iran's new ambassador to Qatar.
