Iran Press/ Asia: The IIHF Division IV World Championship has commenced on Thursday with the participation of the Iranian national team and host country Kyrgyzstan.
This is the first year of the Division IV tournament held for a range of teams mainly playing in the World Championship competition for the first time. All six teams have played internationally before, but Iran was the only team without an official IIHF tournament appearance.
The Iranian national team will face Kuwait tomorrow, Sunday.
