Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking on Wednesday night in response to the recent hostile stance of the US and France against Iran's space program, Ghassemi added: "The Islamic Republic of Iran has been subjected to many years of cruel sanctions, and because of this, has achieved indigenous knowledge in aerospace and space technology through the efforts of its young scientists and engineers."
Bahram Ghassemi pointed out that this knowledge and ability is purely scientific and technological, and the ultimate aim is to meet Iran's needs in the field of space, and to develop the country further.

He also emphasized that "These abilities are nonmilitary in nature and in no way inconsistent with UNSC resolution 2231 or any other international regulations in this field", according to an Iran Press report.
Stressing that all countries have the right to use and enjoy the knowledge and technology of space, Ghassemi stated that in no way and for any reason, justification and one-sided and false motives, any country has no right to apply other incomprehensible interpretations and deprive nations of scientific technology.
Addressing America and France Ghassemi said: "In the wake of the crisis in West Asia, which has become virtually a weapons dump, brimming with Western weaponry, because of the excessive, unnecessary, and uncontrolled export of hundreds of billions of dollars of Western arms to this region, shameful crimes are taking place in countries allied to Washington and Paris, which certainly should be a source of concern more than the peaceful scientific activities of the Islamic Republic of Iran."
"The US and France, which are always seeking to have a monopoly over advanced technologies, claim that Iran's move to launch a satellite into space is a violation of UN resolution 2231."
Regarding Iran's space and missile program, Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Riabkov said on Tuesday against US and Western stands that Iran would not take any action prohibited by international laws or agreements regarding its missile and space missile tests.
