Iran PressIran news: In an interview with Iran Press on Monday, Shahriar Heydari said the Islamic Republic of Iran is corresponding to attend the inauguration ceremony.

"But because the Islamic Republic of Iran does not currently have diplomatic relations with Saudi Arabia, the country has not been officially invited to attend the inauguration ceremony," he continued.

The MP stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran had friendly relations with Saudi Arabia as a Muslim country, yet due to the interference of foreign powers, diplomatic relations between the two countries got severed.

Heydari highlighted that it was Saudi Arabia that should announce its readiness to attend the inauguration ceremony.

"Given the many common grounds that the Islamic Republic of Iran has with Muslim countries, including Saudi Arabia, the ties will be re-established in the future, but it is better for Saudi Arabia to announce its readiness in this situation and participate in the inauguration ceremony, and Iran will welcome it," he noted.
