Iran Press/ America: Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian stated on Wednesday in a meeting with Irish Foreign Minister Simon Coveney in New York that the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to achieve a good and lasting agreement.
Negotiations focused on lifting the oppressive and illegal sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran have experienced progress due to the initiatives of the Iranian negotiating team.
Still, the procrastination of the western parties, especially Joe Biden's administration, to compensate for the illegal actions of the previous US administration and the continuance of the Maximum pressure campaign has led to doubts about the country's seriousness in returning to the JCPOA and the prolongation of the dialogue process.
According to the Iran press, "Amir- Abdollahian" stated in this meeting that the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to reach a good and lasting agreement, adding that getting a deal requires goodwill, realism, and the necessary will on the part of the United States and the three European governments.
The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran further emphasized that, in the light of the agreement, unilateral sanctions against Iran should be removed, and Iran's nuclear wrongly attributed accusation file in the International Atomic Energy Agency should be closed.
In his meeting with the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Ireland, "Amir Abdallahian" also expressed his satisfaction with the level of contact between the two countries officials.
He further stated: "There is no obstacle to the all-round promotion of relations between Iran and Ireland, and it is necessary to further expand bilateral ties through diplomatic, parliamentary, and economic contacts.
In this meeting, the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Ireland also pointed out his country's interest in deepening relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran and said: "There is a great desire to diversify the commercial and economic relations of the two countries."
Referring to the Vienna negotiations, "Simon Coveney" considered reaching an agreement an excellent opportunity for all parties and the international community.
Most of the countries participating in the Vienna talks, focusing on lifting the oppressive and unlawful sanctions against Iran, want a faster conclusion of the negotiations, but reaching a final agreement is waiting for the political decisions of the United States regarding some remaining essential and critical issues.
As a responsible country, the Islamic Republic of Iran has stated many times that considering that the United States was the party that violated the JCPOA, it is Washington that should return to the agreement by lifting sanctions, and it is necessary to verify the implementation of America's obligations.
