Tehran (IP) - Iran’s foreign minister says Tehran and Caracas will sign a 20-year document soon.

Iran PressIran news: Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said in a joint press conference with his Venezuelan counterpart Felix Placencia on Monday stated that agreements were reached and the Tehran-Caracas cooperation road map was drawn.

Iran’s foreign minister noted that Iran-Venezuela’s road map would be fully defined in the Economic Cooperation Joint Commission.

He also referred to the Venezuelan president’s trip to Tehran to sign the 20-year document and said: “Iran and Venezuela have had good cooperation in trade, economic, science, and technology.”

He described Venezuela as a good opportunity for Iranian private sectors to expand collaborations in all fields.
Iran-Venezuela relations are on a growing path
Underscoring that Iran-Venezuela relations were growing, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian called Venezuela a new opportunity to develop comprehensive cooperation in all areas.
Amir-Abdollahian said: In the coming months, President Maduro will visit Tehran and the 20-year document of Tehran and Caracas will be signed by the foreign ministers of the two countries, all of which is a confirmation that the relations between the two countries are on a growing path.

He added: We have had good agreements between the two countries in recent years in the technical, economic, commercial, science and technology, energy, and mining.

Amir-Abdollahian said that the Islamic Republic of Iran supported the people of Venezuela, the president, and all legal institutions in Venezuela, noting: "We consider the policies of the United States towards the people of Venezuela unconstructive, and we consider the recent arrest of a Venezuelan diplomat in Cape Verde and its extradition to the United States a robbery and an unconstructive action by the United States and an attack on Venezuelan sovereignty."

"In the field of bilateral cooperation, we are on a path where Iranian goods are available to the people in different cities of Venezuela," he said. "This is a good opportunity for Iranian businessmen to develop trade cooperation with Venezuela."

Venezuela’s foreign minister also called Iran their strategic friend.

Felix Placencia referred to Iran-Venezuela talks, saying that the 20-year document would deepen the two countries' relations.

He announced that the 20-year document would be finalized before the end of the year.

Venezuela’s foreign minister also thanked Iran for convicting the violation of sovereignty and rights of Venezuela’s government, stressing that the US has violated Venezuela’s rights.

Venezuelan Foreign Minister arrived in Tehran on Monday at the head of a high-ranking delegation to meet with his Iranian counterpart as two countries try to expand cordial relations amid the US sanctions.
