Havana (IP) - Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance announced the signing of a comprehensive cultural memorandum with Venezuela.

Iran PressAmerica: The Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Mahdi Esmaili said that Iran's Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance (CIG) and Venezuela's Ministry of Popular Power for Communication and Information (Minci) signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in three areas of cultural communication, media and information, and the national library.   

Pointing to the achievements of the visit of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi to Venezuela, Esmaili, enumerated the five-year comprehensive memorandum of cultural communication, the memorandum of understanding in the field of media and information, and the memorandum of cooperation of the National Library as the achievements in the meeting with the Minister of Popular Power for Communication and Information Ernesto Villegas Poljak.

Elsewhere Esmaili said a delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran would be present in Venezuela International Book Fair in November.

He also announced the plan for establishing Iran's cultural consultation offices in Venezuela and Brazil in near future.

Referring to the negotiations of the Minister of Culture of Venezuela in Tehran, which was held in the presence of the head of the National Library of Iran, Esmaili stated that the Spanish section of the National Library of Iran would be equipped by the Venezuelan side.
