Tehran (IP) - Iran's Defense Minister urges the security of the Persian Gulf with the participation of regional countries.

Iran PressIran News: Iran's Minister of Defense underlined providing and maintaining the security of the Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz with the participation of the region's countries.

In a meeting with the Commander of the Royal Army of Oman Major General Matar bin Salim bin Rashid AL-Bulushi, Iran's Defense Minister, Brigadier General Mohammad-Reza Qaraei-Ashtiani, referred to the importance and high position of Oman in the relations between the two countries and evaluated the cooperation between Iran and Oman and emphasized on the follow-up of the agreements made.

Ashtiani also underlined the importance of the Persian Gulf region and the Strait of Hormuz, the need for peace and security in this strategic region with the participation of the countries in the region, and announced the readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to improve the level of cooperation with Oman.

The commander of the Royal Army of Oman, for his part, expressed his happiness at being in Tehran and assessed the relations between the government and the people of Iran and Oman as good and considered the visits of the political and military officials of the two countries to be very effective in improving the level of relations.
