He stressed that the friendship between Turkey and Iran was strengthened by their shared history and culture. Turkmenoglu further characterized Netanyahu as a perpetrator of genocide and massacres, leading a network that attacked Iran and continued to commit atrocities in Gaza and Lebanon, even targeting UN peacekeeping forces. He concluded that this network, under Netanyahu's leadership, posed a serious danger to the region and the world.
Act Now for Peace
He deemed confronting this network, which disregards national sovereignty, international law, and international organizations, a humanitarian imperative. Turkmenoglu called on the international community to take swift action to establish lasting peace in the region.
Turkmenoglu concluded by stating that countering Israel's aggressive policies required upholding international law to achieve global peace and stability. He reiterated that the Iran-Turkey parliamentary friendship group was a staunch advocate for peace, stability, and cooperation in the region, and would utilize all its resources to preserve these values.
