Tehran (IP) - Iranian health minister said Iran will produce 99 percent of the needed medicine in the next two years.

Iran Press/Iran news: "We are trying to produce 99 percent of medicine inside the country by the support and encourage of producers inside the country", Iran's minister of health and medical education Saeed Namaki said in an exclusive interview with IP in the sidelines of EMS national day on Monday. 

He highlighted that we hope to increase the level of our medicine productions from 97 percent to 99 percent by reducing this remained 3 percent to 2 percent in the next two years.

He continued that other countries in the world don’t produce all the needed medicine inside their country because it is not affordable. So, similar to other countries we won't produce all 100 percent of medicine inside the country and if there is a possibility for export, then we will produce that one percent too.
